Where are you located?
We are located in San Diego, CA with our production facility in Tijuana, Mexico. Our production facility is located approximately 6 miles south of the international boarder.
Can your staff travel to a clients' location?
Yes, we regularly travel to our client's location when requested.
What is your work schedule?
We typically work in a Pacific Time zone. We typically try to match our developer's schedule to meet our client's time zone.
How many years have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1990 and have been in near-shore outsourcing since 2000.
Where do your developers work?
The entire development team works in our Tijuana facility although we do have some developers working directly at our clients' site.
Will you outsource any of our work?
We do outsource some specialty work like professional graphic design work, digital imaging or bulk CD burning. All software development work is completed in-house with our in-house development staff.
How do you implement completed projects?
The implementation of completed projects varies so much depending on the project on hand. We try to remotely implement as many projects as possible by means of FTP, VNC, Terminal Services, etc. Not all projects can be implemented in this manner and for these cases we will travel to our clients' facility for onsite implementation or whenever specifically requested.
Do you provide documentation for completed projects?
We do provide technical and functional documentation whenever we are requested to but we do advise our clients that this will add time and expense to the project.
How do we work with the staff?
We work with our clients maintaining a high degree of communication and collaboration during the development process. Most communications are done online using common methods like instant messengers and email. We will also use cell phones, pagers, video and teleconferencing as needed.
What are your developers' academic backgrounds?
All our developers have at least a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering that requires 5 years of university study. We do have apprentice positions for entry-level undergrad developers and we also have developers possessing Masters Degrees in both Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
What happens if all your developers are busy with other clients' requests?
We evaluate and allocate our resources accordingly. We continually have new project requests but we are also continually completing projects. Whenever we complete a project, the developers involved in that project will be assigned to a new project or they will provide additional support for other ongoing efforts. Whenever a new project appears, developers providing additional support will be reassigned to these new projects.
Who owns the final product?
The client always owns the rights to the software regardless of whether it is in the design stage, partial development or a finished product. Furthermore, upon completion of the software our clients are furnished with all source code, source files, documentation and notes used in the design and development of their projects.
Who manages the projects?
Our clients manage projects and they may also request us to manage their projects. When our clients manage their projects, we coordinate the staff and facilitate communications so our clients are continuously involved to monitor progress and guide the overall direction of the project.
How can you guarantee results?
We guaranteed results by maintaining close interaction with our clients' teams during the development process. Their staffs are continuously involved during the entire development phase of their projects. In addition, we offer a flexible payment method. To commence development we require a fully refundable retainer which is not to be construed as, but can be applied to, payment of services upon project completion and full client satisfaction. In this manner they essentially pay nothing until the delivery of thier product and thier full satisfaction.
Can you guarantee our privacy?
Privacy is a standard in our field of work. We will sign any Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure agreements set forth by our clients to protect their interests, property and trade secrets.
Do you require a contract agreement?
In some cases we do require a contract agreement although in most cases we sign and abide by any contractual agreements presented to us by our clients.
How do you determine your rates on a project basis?
An analysis of the project is made and a time frame to complete the project is estimated. The man-hours estimated for project completion is multiplied by our standard hourly rate and that determines the total for our quote. If a project goes over budget we abide by the original quote unless major modifications are appended to the original scope. In these cases we require additional quotes to be considered prior to the development of these changes.
